Greatest Article for Parents
My sister-in-law just forwarded a snipet from the Washington Post. It is a must read for any parent... or anyone who doesn't have kids and doesn't understand why your friends with kids have no time for anything... like phone calls or going out.
Great article. All of it is so true, but not for just stay at home moms like the article mentions, but even working moms. I find my only time to really talk to close friends and really hear/listen to how they are doing is my drive to and from work. Any other time is difficult because I am constantly with my kids, which need my attention since I am away all day.
My guess is that the person who wrote in asking this is not very good friends with moms. I think it's a no brainer. Spend one whole day with a stay at home mom or with a family with kids and you get it. But, anyone can use the busy excuse when you just plain don't want to talk to someone! We're all busy, aren't we?
Thanks Dee, I didn't that. I added it to my blog as well and this is something I've been having a hard time with lately so this article hit home and gave me the reality check I needed. See you at Christmas,
